Questions
The answers
before you ask.
Booking
- How far in advance should we reach out?
- For weddings, most couples book nine to fourteen months ahead. Couple sessions and events come together faster — a few weeks is often plenty. Either way, earlier is safer in the busy seasons.
- Do you travel?
- Yes, often. I'm based in Toronto and shoot across Ontario; travel beyond that is folded into the proposal once a date and location are confirmed.
- How is pricing structured?
- Pricing is built around the event itself — its length, the location, and the coverage you want. I share a proposal after our first conversation, when I understand what we are actually photographing.
On the day
- How many hours of coverage do we need?
- Couple sessions run one to two hours. Weddings are usually eight to ten, from late getting-ready into the dancing. Events vary — we will settle on the right window together.
- Do you bring a second photographer?
- Only when the day genuinely needs one. Most weddings are better served by one quiet photographer than two.
- Will you give us a shot list?
- I work mostly observationally, but I always ask for a short list of must-have people and any specific moments that would be missed otherwise.
Deliverables
- How many photographs will we receive?
- A couple session lands around fifty to a hundred images; a full-day wedding, five hundred to nine hundred. The number follows the event, not a contract minimum.
- When will we see the gallery?
- A small set of previews within seventy-two hours. The full gallery within a few weeks.
- Do you offer prints or albums?
- Yes, both. Albums are designed in collaboration with you after the gallery is delivered.
